Positive Comments: A beautiful, simple melody. This is so pleasant. I really enjoyed listening to this song. The middle(the development section, I suppose we can call it, at 1:00) is so beautiful in its simplicity and yet there’s this really refreshing ‘something’ about how it blossoms from the first part of the piece. I like the addition of the B-3 voice later in the song. This is a nice piece of music. Thank you.

Constructive Comments: First, on the mix, find space for the instruments to live. It’s difficult, and I may be speaking out of line here, because creating an MP3 for use on this site can often mash things together in a way you never intended. My convention is to use a mastering plugin (Waves Linear EQ, Linear Phase Multi-band, LE Ultramaximizer) or similar to create pockets for each instrument. On the arrangement side, I would not use the organ in full chords, following the other instruments, but open 4ths and 5ths and single note that uses the Leslie speaker effect additionally. Thank you!

Positive Comments: The guitar is well played and recorded. The vocals are pretty well performed.

Constructive Comments: There is nothing about this song that says psychedelic to me. I did not feel the guitar and the vocals had any relationship to each other. I thought the acoustic guitar was the absolutely wrong choice to pair with the style of lyric/vocals you were going for. The guitar had three times as much life and energy to them as the vocals. The guitar was so much louder in the mix then the vocals that it made focusing on lyrics very difficult. It just felt like the guitar was off and running from the beginning and it did not care if it was time for the chorus, or a more poignant part of the lyrics, it did what it did and vocals did what they did. Felt like two completely unrelated performances occurring at the same time.

Positive Comments: I like your sound, and like the beat track and the lead and backup vocals performances.

Constructive Comments: I’m going to be brutally honest here. Even though I like your sound this song falls a little flat for me. Maybe that has nothing to do with you and has more to do with the last two years of utter chaos of women running around constantly wanting me to listen to how angry their vaginas are, I don’t know. To me the message is hollow. To me, no gender has it worse then another, no race has it worse then another, everyone on the planet is equally screwed and is equally screwed double by focusing on their personal hardships and differences instead of focusing on commonalities. Maybe I am just some kind of misogynist scum, but everything came across as very cliche, or like a talking point I have already heard a thousand times, and then the stripper references, I have no idea how they fit in. To me it did not come across as a female empowerment song, although I am sure it would for a lot of women, but to me it just felt very intellectually whiny. Which is a shame cause it’s a good voice and beat and overall sound.I am not trying to be a dick by what I say. For me, as a music listener, music is an escape. it is a momentary breathe of fresh air, its a boost of my spirits when I am down, it is an emotional pull on heart strings when I have become too jaded, it is a force that unifies people from all walks in life behind a great song. So when I hear a song like this, to me, its doing the exact opposite of everything I want music to do for me. So I hope you do not take insult and you can appreciate where I am coming from in my point of view. For me, with your talent, I would much rather you put your focus on music that was more universally rewarding.
