Positive Comments: I really enjoyed that, got my head moving and bopping very early. I must admit that I enjoyed the jazz parts of this song much more then the fusion parts. But take that with a grain of salt cause I have never been much of a fusion guy.

Constructive Comments: I think it was the 1:20 mark when the fusion stuff started to come into play. My favorite part of this song was before that mark. I really enjoyed that part and honestly had wished you had just stayed more true to that path for the rest of the song without adding all the fusion stuff. But again, take that with a grain of salt cause I am not really a fusion guy.

Positive Comments: I enjoyed a lot about that song, had a real good energy to it.

Constructive Comments: For the song you had two competing melodies, the bass notes and the high notes. They complimented each other well, but I felt like you had too much emphasis on the base notes and not enough on the high notes. I thought the high notes were the more poignant of the two and I would have done the mix where the bass notes took a more backup role to those high notes instead of being the dominant force to the music. I would absolutely love to hear this with the bass notes bumped down in the mix and the high notes bumped up, think it would make a big difference.

Constructive Comments: The train whistle effect you used sucked. The idea fit well with the song, it was actually well placed and didn’t come off gimmicky at all. I am saying the actual sound you used sucked. It didn’t sound like a real train, sounded like you hooked up your kids toy train set and recorded the sound it made. I don’t know for sure if you can fix the way it sounds by going back into your mix and EQing or adding an effect to that individual track or not, but might be worth a try, because it stands out like a sore thumb against the quality of the rest of the song. If you can’t fix that train whistle there is a good place where you might be able to get a new sound effect for free. If you go to YouTube and start your own channel, they have different tools for people who make videos. One of those tools is a bank of royalty and license free background music and sound effects that you can download onto your computer and then insert into the song. You should take the time to check it out.

Positive Comments: I really like the chorus, was very memorable and catchy. I liked that the singer put so much of herself into the song, was very believable.

Constructive Comments: I thought the bass and wood block/metronome were too loud in the mix and needlessly dominated the recording.I liked the lyrics, but the lyric ending at :42 that ended with “prize” I thought was a little awkward and forced.I didn’t think the organ solo during the instrumental part fit well with the rest of the song. I agreed that you needed something there I just wasn’t sure the organ was the right instrument. With the tone of the singer’s voice I might have chosen to go with some kind of horn, not that everyone has one laying around.

Positive Comments: In the current state of hip hop which glorifies “mumble rap”, this is a refreshing change that stays true real lyricism. Great flow and lyrics. The lyrics ride the track perfectly. The hook is very catchy. I can definitely hear this on the radio, movie soundtracks or TV shows. I’ll be checking out more of your material!

Constructive Comments: I wouldn’t change a thing about this.
