Song: Think About Those Days

Reviewer: Howard Delnick

Positive Comments: Good song. Kept my interest, but I found it a little to repetitive at the end, a bit too many talked about those days. Perhaps replace the vocal with a bit more instrumental. Song needs a little more dynamics, there is very little movement in the volume flow. Excellent harmonies. Song has potential with a little bit of production adjustment. Thanks for sharing.

Constructive Comments: As mentioned, the song needs some dynamics.

Positive Comments: Overall its a nice song and with a message. I think the hook could of been more pronounced and more often. Like for example intro, verse1, chorus 1, verse 2, chorus 2, bridge, verse 3 chorus 3, ending. And it can be arranged in a different way too but as long as you have a presence on the hook.

Constructive Comments: On the mix I think the drums could have more presences in the mix especially the kick drum. I don’t know what music software are you using but just EQ and compression a little bit on the individual drum tracks will help tremendous in bring out the drum kick I think the overall idea of the song is very nice and thoughtful of humanity.

Positive Comments: Earcandy if you have it loud. Enjoyed the pitching back and forth. I can definatly see flashing lights and raised hands on a huge floor.

Constructive Comments: Very good mix. The only thing I can contribute is make it more of variety as some parts went on too long without something else contributing, but if you were shooting for a trance of mind good job. A danceable good song, made me want to get a drink and chill.

Positive Comments: I thought the hook lyrics were unique and could fit a scene that calls for it. The vocalist sounded sexy and innocent, intriguing me to listen further.

Constructive Comments: There’s not much I could say about this song that needs work, excellent job except I didn’t get the message of the song, but the hook over rode that part as it gave me an image of a lonely girl dancing somewhere, which could be in demand to fit a scenario somewhere. I’m sure it would sound fabulous on huge speakers. As far as a title there’s quite a few venues to take it towards.

Positive Comments: Great voice and harmonies. Sounds like an early BJ Thomas or Elvis flavored song. Reminds me of the early days when dramatic music was in style. Your voice defiantly wept the song and made me feel like you experienced this, which is what an artist is supposed to do. You should be in Vegas on the big stage.

Constructive Comments: The recording sounded a little outdated, kind of analog, but sometimes that’s a good thing, and I’m not one to criticize someone’s studio recording, but making it a little more crystal and brighter could defiantly help. The drums seemed to drag in spots and I heard a slight clash between the piano and the drums at the beginning, possibly look at that and see if I’m wrong, but I’d look a little closer at that. The way it played made it sound like a drum machine, but then again, it could just be on my end. Overall, I really enjoyed the song and with some tweaking, you have a monster on your hands here.

Positive Comments: Defiantly makes you hit the dance floor. Sounds like older Texas swing. Maybe in the flavor of a modern day Bob Wills? These days country is so overblown and straying away from its roots, but this tune kind of steers it back.

Constructive Comments: Well what can a true country music lover say bad about this song? You’d be hard pressed to find a thumbs down for this one. I’m a pedal steel player and loved pretty much everything about this song, and the hook is unique so I see a very viable place for this in the market out there. Great job.

Positive Comments: Sounds like a Chet Atkins type beat here, I enjoyed the playing, very smooth. Almost like you’re at the French quarter.

Constructive Comments: Okay, just my opinions here, But overall I liked it, however, I heard some static or noise at the beginning that seemed to follow the song, but then again, maybe it’s my speakers but if so, I’d clean it up somewhat. There were parts I could hear being used commercially, but after about a minute it became repetitious, kind of losing me in the song but, if you could add maybe some harmony licks behind it, that would keep the listener interested. Possible a few small lead licks or bucket chords. I know what vibe you were aiming for as I love Jazz, but it’s almost there.
