Broadjam Artist: Delta Burnett Reed
Song: They Call The Wind Mariah

Reviewer: David James

Positive Comments: This is of course a very well known song and this is a lovely cover. The vocalist delivers the haunting, romantic ambience of the song. The arrangement too complements the song beautifully. Very well recorded.

Constructive Comments: I haven’t marked some of the categories which pertain to the original song, so excuse that omission on my part. Overall though the song does full justice to the original.

Broadjam Artist: Matt Mereu
Song: Rise Above the Blues

Reviewer: David James

Positive Comments: Firstly I like the swagger of the song. Great guitar chords and clever lead work. A strong vocalist who absolutely sells the song. I like the way the chorus provides release to the tension that verses build and that fits in well with the ‘open the dam’ idea. Very well recorded. The song puts me in mind of the group Television particularly in respect of the vocal.

Constructive Comments: One thought, I was expecting a chord change on the word ‘mountain’. However in conclusion it’s a great rock song. Possibly worth pitching for appropriate film/TV opportunities in my opinion.
