To Thick To Know / R&B Funk by Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods

Song: To Thick To Know / R&B Funk

Positive Comments: I really dig this track! It definitely had me grooving the entire time. This track would go well in a movie scene of someone walking down a crowded boulevard, possibly in the 70’s. It has a vintage vibe to me if that makes any sense. It has the right amount of twang to it to still keep it in the Funk genre instead of Country.

Constructive Comments: Maybe shorten the song a little bit or add vocals. I could see a track like this going either way. Honestly you could probably cut an original, then one with vocals, then an extended mix. As far as the mix itself I think it sounds fine the midrange just seems a little crowded when everything is going strong.

Face Down & Out / Hard Rock by Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods

Song: Face Down & Out / Hard Rock

Reviewer: Tyler Peters

Positive Comments: Pretty cool progression with the guitar, would love to hear it with a better mix. You can tell the skill is there wondering what happend with the mix because theres definite potential here.

Constructive Comments: Gotta work on that mix. Also the drum machine you got going on there gets very repetitious and gets to be a bit annoying. Get a drummer to jam with or maybe try an write the drums instead of putting on a loop. Maybe lose the drums entirely.

The instruments really where very well done. Loved the octaves sweet drum rolls too. One of the best I’ve heard on this site, keep it up!

Constructive Comments: The mix has a long way to go. THe piano at some time seems pretty sloppy. Really biggest issue for me is the mix is just not there at all. I’ve got a feeling the live performance would be much better.
