Positive Comments: Uptempo sharp pop song reminding me of early Joe Jackson’s stuff. It’s catchy and very well performed and produced, completed by a “middle eight” and a solo.

Constructive Comments: I don’t hear real flaws. The fading out final is the only thing I’m not particularly sure about, it’s a big vague.

Song: Son of the Night

Positive Comments: This jumps out of the speakers and stakes a claim right off the bat. guitars are grinding, drums are thumping, vocals have just the right amount of dust in them. this is a hot band, so bullshit.

Constructive Comments: If I had a criticism it would be that while the character in the song is drawn quite well, other than that, nothing happens and it doesn’t really go anywhere. So in that sense it is lyrically pretty predictable. But the band truly rocks and in a song like this it might not matter that the lyrics are kind of predictable. Would not mind a smoking hot guitar solo either. Great track that certifiably rocks though.
