Positive Comments: basically a nice song reminds me of Poco a little when they just started out! Great Subject

Constructive Comments: Well to begin with -you need a break in the song—it gives the listener something fresh—As an exercise–write this song out on paper-then leave a line in between—-write down the words–then on the line underneath –write new words that convey the same meaning. You’ll be surprized what this can do to your songs!Music is Love===============catnip==================

Song: Find Your Way

Reviewer: Kate Carpenter

Positive Comments: This instrumental track exudes sweetness, peace, tranquility. A pleasant listen, it should be marketable for anyone looking for some nice piano background music. Played with feeling and nice key-attack, this pianist knows how to evoke emotion in his/her playing.

Constructive Comments: End it at 4:05. There’s a dissonant note that felt out of place. You play so beautifully! Keep up the good work! Mrs. Kate

Song: IT DON’T MEAN NOTHING

Reviewer: Kate Carpenter

Positive Comments: Crashed on the rocks, ouch-it-hurts (but I won’t cry!) breakup song. Honest, forthright, brutally clear, the angst-filled guy tells the story of a relationship gone south, way south, and it sounds like he got out when the getting out was good. Decidedly simple (must be the lo-fi thing), this song is easy to understand (which for any rock song gets 3 cheers). What’s wrong with me? I think it’s you. Great phrase. There’s a lot to like here! Great job, songwriter! The ending is very very cool. I really liked it.

Constructive Comments: No real criticism here. I am reviewing a song out of my genre. But I really liked this anyway! Mrs. Kate

Positive Comments: Laden with special effects, the multiple sounds and voices of this song reflect the conflicted message of the singer. Obviously in love, but frustrated, he seems like he’s trying so hard to progress. A creative palette of sounds, pauses and simplified spots in the mix really add to the drama. This song has a strong element of rap in it. I can tell that you worked really hard on this in the studio. The lead vocal is beautifully sung.

Constructive Comments: The beginning was SO conflicted I thought I was mistakenly hearing two different tracks. Maybe you OVERdid this, production-wise. Sometimes less is more and simple is better. Take this with a grain of salt because I am reviewing a song way far away from my genre and comfort zone, and I am 64.

Song: Slezy prevrashchayutsya v snezhinki (Tears turn to snow)

Reviewer: Mike Cantwell – TalentEast Productions

Positive Comments: Could be TV background music. Not sure how it could be used. Sad. Shindler’s List type (spelling?). Not quite creepy nor horror. Not romantic.

Constructive Comments: When the orchestra/violin comes in, it gets better to good. It is not unique, it is very similar to a lot of music already out there, so it may be hard to place, but it could have a home in as background TV music. The piano on the opening and up to the orchestra coming in is a little shaky, not as polished as it could be. I am generally not a keyboardist (not touched in years and was very good), but I hear the piano as ameteur.

Song: without fear

Reviewer: Mike Cantwell – TalentEast Productions

Positive Comments: It might have a place on TV as background. The best part is at 3:57 and you should cut everything before it. But add more layers. Flesh it out. You can throw a different part in there to break it up and come back to that music.

Constructive Comments: The whole thing before 3:57 sounds like a mashup of unrelated, insignificant parts. Like searching, but not finding. At 3:57 I like it. You should take that and add more instruments as it progresses. Break it up with nearly anything, ideally a beat of the same bpm. Then, start back in with your 3:57 music and build again to a climax. A key shift or chord change would be good.
