Positive Comments: Don’t listen to Rap, but this is really quite cool!! Love the choice of instrumentation, sounds like it could be in a scene from a film. The music sounds like it could have been in the New Blade Runner film 2047….I think that’s the title?? I hear this composition as an extremely interesting instrumental and less Rap in nature. Whatever it is…It’s REALLY NICELY DONE!!! Great Job!!!

Constructive Comments: My only suggestion would bring the Male vocal up just a tad, not sure what he is saying in several parts of the tune. But that’s an easy fix!!! Again, very KOOL Sound!!!

Positive Comments: Great vibe. Lovely use of percussion and bass. The piano part is excellent. The playing is very tight. Love the lead sax. A compelling chord progression. I love the changes in tempo that add real interest. The tune puts me in mind of Steely Dan.

Constructive Comments: A very strong tune that I could happily listen to repeatedly. Good luck with this!

Positive Comments: Strong intro. Great use of light and shade in this tune. The synths and drums mesh beautifully. Really well recorded…the sound quality is excellent. Not really a dance track to my mind but it has a lovely chill-out vibe.

Constructive Comments: It really is captivating. I would love to hear this late at night in a bar. So on that basis I think it has real commercial potential.

Positive Comments: Here’s a peaceful piano piece. It makes me think of a quiet walk in the woods or on the beach in the twilight when there’s no wind. Divided into sections with pauses, this is a thoughtful presentation, augmented by some really cool echoey delays that are quite effective and memorable. This song has a sweet and innocent quality to it, a very thoughtful musical offering. Good job!

Constructive Comments: Work on consistency. I may have heard some timing issues. I am not a pianist, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Positive Comments: The two things that stand out in this love song are the memorable hook and the soaring electric guitar solo. The best lyric, in my opinion, was the one with the feel/real rhyme. I think that is your best verse. The chorus is very singable. Sounds like you had an amazing player on that guitar instrumental. WOOHOO on that!

Constructive Comments: I would shorten the piano intro and bring the drums in sooner. Work on fresher and more original rhymes. Came across as “regular”: friend/end. I’m not sure I understood the verse about the darkness…was there a reference to rain? I wasn’t real fond of the dissonant ending. There was no dissonance in the song…why put it in the ending? Keep up the good work!

Song: A Song For Berry / Southern Rock

Reviewer: Bob Bentley

Positive Comments: Very original, even if it does make me think of the Allman Brother’s Jessica, but that’s a compliment! Good musicianship, which could come from an ensemble or more likely a multi-tracked individual I suspect? Well arranged and produced. A memorable melody line which was really pleasing to the ear.

Constructive Comments: I really liked this track. For my preferences the guitar sound in the individual guitar solo was a bit fuzzy and short on sustain – but that is a very personal thing for the musician.Good luck with the track, may it bring you every success.

Positive Comments: Just a great rock track with a very memorable hook, very well played instrumentally, very well produced and very well performed vocally. Great mix of vocal styles and harmonies as well. Good guitar sounds and well put together guitar instrumental section.

Constructive Comments: I couldn’t really add any thing constructive. On a personal note during the verses there is a click on the right side which I found a bit distracting – comes across like a metronome but is almost certainly percussion. Great track, lots of luck with it.Bob

Positive Comments: Good voice and appropraite to the song’s sentiment. Wonderful story with the sorrow for a lover lost at sea

Constructive Comments: Vocal clarity is an issue. The recoding makes it sound a bit muddy. It would be a good touch to add a guitar since Annie played the guitar. Perhaps a bridge that contains the a part of the song that Annie sang.
