Positive Comments: Spooky, well-crafted intro. Lead guitar really stands out in this creative instrumental. Composer/producer/performers obviously know their stuff…seems like every possible bell and whistle (obsolete term here) has been used to make this sound great. Some artists use them just to get them in there. This artist knows how to use them like a painter carefully selects his colors to produce the painting he is trying to create. This piece gets high marks for originality and emotional appeal. I like the defined, different sections. It definitely creates a mood all its own, especially with the soaring/plunging hook. Even though this is not my genre, I really liked it!

Constructive Comments: You obviously know what you are doing! Way out of my league…but keep up the good work! You obviously put a LOT of labor into this composition. You deserve high praise for it!

Positive Comments: Really nice concept and idea embedded in this song. The lyrics are especially nice….as they progress through the story and the musings of the singer. Very heartfelt and the imagery is clear and paint a vivid story. The singer is spot on with her phrasing and emotion and the subtle variances of her breathy delivery are very engaging. Production is excellent, as is the instrumentation and arrangement of the song. There is no reason on God’s Green Earth that this song should not be in a major country artist’s song list. Thanks for sharing……

Constructive Comments: Cons? Hmmmmm, don’t know that I would change much of anything. If anything, I’d add more space in the instrumentation in the mixing and back off the instrumentation one or 2 notches and squeeze the instruments to a more defined space in the mix….and give the lady singer’s voice more of “featured” sound…..Anyway, I love this song and can’t wait to see who sings it….. Best of luck with this. Worth the effort to find a home for this tune….over an above the artist who sings it.

Positive Comments: Not sure what the composer of the track is going for with this piece. I am assuming that it’s something to do with film scoring. I can definitely hear this playing in the background of a serious drama. It is a serious piece of music expressing a certain sad emaotionand that is where it lingers for me. Great work if that was what you were going for then you get 20 thumbs up from me

Constructive Comments: It’s hard to suggest anything solid for a song like this that in my opinion convey in a very well done strong one certain emotion . All in all you went after that feeling and you definitely got it from start to finish.

Positive Comments: Great song. I love the tempo and feel of the song. The interchange between lead instruments really added to the dynamics of the song. Nice soothing piece to listen and relax to after a long day. Great job.

Constructive Comments: The only critique I have is that your drums are a little loud in the mix. I would bring their level down just a little bit so that they don’t overpower the rest of the beautiful instrumentation. Other than that, this is a wonderful piece. I look forward to listening to more of your music.

Positive Comments: Nice groove. Reminds me so much of Al Jarreau. Love the tempo and instrumentation on this piece. It kept and held my attention and had me snapping my fingers. Nice EP and Organ inserts. I really like this…it has great potential!

Constructive Comments: It needs a nice catchy intro to lead to those terrific vocals and a nice outro to fade it out or end it. Also, a little remixing and equalizing will give the song a good lift. Maybe removing the reverb from your vocals will help as well. Since you have reverb on your instrumentation, the reverb on the vocals bleeds into the music which makes your vocals stand out less. Just my opinions and suggestions. This is such a beautiful song…I would love to hear a longer version of it. Well done, keep up the good work.

Positive Comments: This track would be excellent for a soundtrack for a romantic situation, it has a nice laid back horn sound, and a great chord formation. I could learn a hell of a lot with my own pieces listening to something like this. It has a melody you could hum along to nicely. I labelled it as Jazz, simply because of the sax sound, but I am not sure that is accurate, as the chords have a good steady change.

Constructive Comments: There is very little I could say to the composer, you have it just as it should be. As I said before, just listening to this, it has given me inspiration on how to better my own tracks, being too busy etc. There is a simplicity in the chord structure, which by no way demeans the ability of the composer. This is very clever, and recorded by someone, who has clearly nothing to prove. I hear a definite Burt Bacharach feel in the track, and that can only be a good thing.

Positive Comments: This is the kind of track where you really have to be a fan of heavy rock instrumentals to rally appreciate this, so I have to be objective. For the style of music, it has great instrumentation, but for it to succeed, it needs to have a strong hook reprised frequently. Having read reviews of my pieces I am also guilty of this, so I am saying this from a subjective point of view. Having been in a band with fluent and accomplished guitar soloing is impressive, but it needs to have more of a theme.

Constructive Comments: As I mentioned above, I made the mistake of using excessive instrumentation to try and succeed, but from what I’ve heard through soundtracks using heavy rock music, a melodic theme should be more evident, plus the drums should be more pounding to a definite precise rhythm, there is a lot of percussive prowess there, but as I have learned the hard way, it is not about a display of instrument ability, more of it grabbing the ear, and leaving a lasting impression.
