Song: That’s All She Wrote (Crossover)

Reviewer: Nigel Barrett

Positive Comments: Perfectly nice tune, although very dated. Perhaps this should be allocated to the Country section rather than pop.

Constructive Comments: A very ‘safe’ arrangement which would be very popular in the US. The vocal harmonies in the chorus for me should be much higher in the mix to take it to the next level.

Song: The Wee Man

Positive Comments: This is almost an Edgar Winter type song. Very simple in arrangement. I get a deep blues feeling, but definitely not “heavy metal” which is the genre it was under. I think this track would be good for maybe video game placement. I can see this as music in the background as you’re choosing your character.

Constructive Comments: Again, while not heavy metal, it’s still rock. Instead of ripping guitars, I hear a keyboard. I don’t think this song really needs much improvement, because this song accomplishes what it was recorded for. I realize most instrumental music on this site is made for placement, and most probably will be placed. Good luck to you, and keep on making music!

Positive Comments: I like the ultra-mega-rich ooey gooeyness of grilled-cheese sandwiches. This electronic music has me getting gooey reminders in me’s music brain – listening to this is making me long for an ooey-gooey cheesey sandwich.

Constructive Comments: For electronica, this is a nice one. I think this may be more Ambient. I don’t have much to say, all the elements are there in the mix. My mom and I played this and we both enjoyed it. We hope you have a great day.

Song: Born Under a Bad Sign

Reviewer: Geoff Martin Preston

Positive Comments: This gives me memories of watching ‘The Cream’ many moons ago. The instrumentation and tightness was fabulous. The structure of the piece was solid and allows the song to sit along with the great standards. Where ever you are it would be a pleasure to pay to see you, a little more variation in the arrangement would take over the line for originality for the genre. Just a thought.

Constructive Comments: The vocal pitch was great but I was leaning in trying to enjoy the lyrics, just coming forward a little in the mix would have been a help here. There is a great vocal delivery there but I was wanting and really could not appreciate it fully. Other than that Wow! Keep on trucking you are good and deserve to be out there.

Reviewer: Top Dead Center

Positive Comments: I feel like I have reviewed this song already. I thought it was totally going somewhere else when it started, but then it didn’t….which wasn’t bad at all. The guitars are ripping! NIce bridge. The key change is great. It reminds me of a Satriani song.

Constructive Comments: I don’t really have any complaints with this track. The length is good. Just when I thought I was kinda getting bored, it did end. Nothing really comes to mind. Good luck with your licensing endeavors. This track should get picked up quick!

Positive Comments: Starts out heavy and hard! But then does a 180 and gets funky…which I like! I really like the tone of the bass! I also like the tone of the funk guitar! This track has some great drumming. Everything seems mixed great. It was better listening through earbuds rather than my crappy computer speakers. I then listened to it through my soundbar and MAN….Great!

Constructive Comments: My only gripes are the vocals get a little flat in the harmonizing, and the chugging guitar tone is a bit much after awhile. Other than those two items, this is a great track! I really, really dig that funk guitar!

Positive Comments: Totally rocking progressive classic rock with exhortation to the infinite child. Spinal tap could not have done it better.

Constructive Comments: Well the arrangement as such is decent , maybe a little flat, it never builds up serious heat, but still well played. You sound like you might be aspiring to Yes or Genesis levels of cosmic enlightenment , but your pretty much stuck about a notch below Spinal Tap. For me personally it’s overblown. But hey, go outside and play, have some fun.

Song: Teckel Race

Positive Comments: Classic meets rock with intriguing results. Pizz strings and ‘classical’ guitar versus spectacular rock guitar riffs. Something a bit Sibelius-like about the ostinato-type figure. And everything framed by . . . well, a kennels and a starting gun – what could be more appropriate!

Constructive Comments: Always like to hear experimental stuff.
