Positive Comments: Interesting! Not a Dance Pop song though… weirdly hypnotic. Could have potential in a movie soundtrack somewhere maybe.

Constructive Comments: I cant think of anything.

Positive Comments: Catchy right from the git-go! definitely a dance song. I can see this in a teen pop show. I like the little guitar riffs at the beginning. Harmonies would add a lot to this! The vocals are so out front, it kinda throws me off. I like the vocals a little better right toward the end, where their backed off some in the mix.

Constructive Comments: Add harmonies to those chorus parts! I had to listen a few times, becuz I felt something was missing… that guitar needs to be more present throughout the song, not just synthesizer sounds. And bring up the bass a little. Overall song concept is good though! Nice job.

Positive Comments: good overall production. like the “raunchy” blues mood of this song, good beat, good lyrics, easy to remember melody and chorus. instrumentally ok

Constructive Comments: for the mood of the song, voice is particularly important and somewhat seems difficult in some parts, specially in chorus that voice seems to be forced to be in the tone. Otherwise is ok. good luck

Positive Comments: this song is energetic, cheerfull, has a good beat, danceable. Melody is easy to remember. interesting choice of sounds and loops.

Constructive Comments: this is a easy song to play with chord progressions that have been used in thousand of songs, so is very predictable. the percussion is ok but, for my opinion, the whistle is annoying, too much times.

Positive Comments: I really dig the beginning, and to be honest, was a little dis appointed, when part b enter, as if the energy of the song, fall down.

Constructive Comments: Listening once again, although I still think the above, I was able to understand more the song as a whole. About the production, sounds sound too sharp.

Song: The Transportation Blues (#1 Rock – Americana)

Reviewer: Jeff Maguire

Positive Comments: Interesting cross between Joe Cocker and Dave Mason on vocals, definitely current.

Constructive Comments: Very interesting tune, lot’s a of potential, instrumentation is a little weak but the feel is very loose and really pretty cool. Sort of ” Feeling All Right ” only updated into ” Feeling All Right – Maybe ” . Get it into the right scene and it might sell even with the looseness and imperfections , it is definitely current, and very infectious.

Positive Comments: Nicely crafted tune. Puts me in mind of World Party, hope that’s not too obscure. Love the instrumental parts and background vocals coming in and out. Love the change between song parts. It kept my interest throughout the tune.

Constructive Comments: I don’t have any quibbles. There are some small changes I would make if I were mixing it, but I could put them up to personal taste or even what I was listening on. Tone down the bass where it is just the bass and guitar, 2 places. Drums sound a little muffled. Love to here this on a nice hi-fi

Positive Comments: Love the Argent keyboards and the overall psychedelic vibe, fuzz guitar rocks. Arrangement is very nicely constructed.

Constructive Comments: Musically I don’t really have any criticism, lyrics are going to be hit or miss depending on context. Very well constructed piece, I could see this working in a lot of dramatic contexts.

Song: Made in China

Reviewer: Rachel Joy

Positive Comments: I can picture this song in a musical. We can all identify with the subject matter, so it has universal appeal. A good touch of humour and reality. The retro-style (honky tonk?) piano sets the mood for the whole feel of the song in clever contrast to the very modern complaint ‘everything is made in China’. The opening atmosphere is decidedly oriental, so a perfect match for the lyrics. I like the intro and the final gong most of all.

Constructive Comments: This song is so unusual I feel it may have a very limited marketability.Apart from being used in a musical i fear it would not appeal to radio listeners, for example. i would certainly put it into the Unique genre. The uptempo hook is almost annoyingly repetitive.Maybe it could be improved upon, by adding a little variation.
