Positive Comments: Tender-sweet, beautiful Christmas carol that tells the Christmas story in a winsome way. I love the way this song exalts the true meaning of Christmas, JESUS!, in a world infused with Santa, Reindeer and Frosty snowmen. Flawless vocal. Every word is easily understandable. Performance is passionate, loving and worshipful. Instrumentation and production is really pretty. Nice guitar and synth choices.

Constructive Comments: The only thing I didn’t like about the production is that strange sound effect in the background ambiance. It’s not bad at the end but I got tired of hearing it all the way through. Is this Julia? DeDe? Love playing the guessing game. Two of my favorite BJ female vocalists.

Positive Comments: I love this! What a nice treat to hear this cleverly orchestrated musical composition that takes you on a journey of discovery. With it’s southwestern motif introduction, to the dance floor of a blockbuster movie scene perhaps? I imagine Mexico – but wait, oh, maybe France? The beautiful violin beckons you, then the other instruments take turns. It is pleasant, it is intriguing, it is familiar yet new. I would love to hear this as a backdrop in a dance segment in a movie.

Constructive Comments: This is one of those pieces of music that is so unique, so well done, that I’m sorry, nothing negative to say – just, great job to all who participated in this production. I listened to this several times during my review 🙂

Positive Comments: A classical/folk infused Christmas carol in a minor key. I can see this sung by a church choir with some beautiful harmonies. It’s sung with an obvious love for the Savior. Hallelujah. The instrumentation is nicely done. Beautiful melody! Favorite lyric/rhyme: willed/fulfilled

Constructive Comments: Vocal is pretty, but a little shaky in spots. I wasn’t able to understand all the words. Was there some Latin in there? I just listened again Vini – come. Makes more sense now. Good job, and I’m guessing this is Delta. Merry Christmas from Mrs. Kate

Positive Comments: This is a very nice, smooth jazz musical that is perfect for your home listening environment when you want to relax. The combination of the instruments creates a nice harmonic. I enjoyed the fine piano. A nice bass line creates a nice depth in parts. This would be a nice musical piece for a segment on “The Weather Channel” or something similar. Multi-media of any kind can use this. I enjoyed the nice mixing/mastering on this.

Constructive Comments: There were a few spots where I thought a break from some repetition would have been good. I like how the musical piece eases in – nice. Those drums that come in, about 1/3 through the piece doesn’t seem to fit – but that is just me, and these are just the opinions of a hairy feeted hobbit up in the woods. Have a good day – gonna play this again. 🙂

Positive Comments: A guy, a guitar, a girl and a great hook…makes for a nice Christmas song. Written in a minor key, but sung in a fairly upbeat and hopeful way, this artist has some good original lyrics. I like racing the reindeer and the apple pie, and the sense of family and belonging. It’s all here and would be a nice addition to anyone’s Christmas play list. Simply produced but nicely executed.

Constructive Comments: I wanted to hear a final chord at the end of the song. Flying home to you and us. Hmmm….that was one lyric I wasn’t crazy about but just a matter of preference. I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas! Mrs. Kate in FL

Positive Comments: It’s time to “Rev It Up!” ladies and gentlemen…Rev It Up! This electronic dance club with a power beat and with it’s cleverly sequenced vocal line will keep you wondering curiously … what’s next? … I imagine an aerobics class somewhere getting into the groove with this piece, oh yeah, like the vocals say in the song it’s “The Drive! Revolution!”. Oh, and it’s very – hmmm… – alphabetical! Fun song for your cardio workout!

Constructive Comments: Intro could have been better I think, just a couple of bars of beat to set the environment for the listener. A backing string section in parts of this would take this to another level if you ever do a remix. A few chord progressions could have a little more flair. I did enjoy this and was a pleasant experience! Have an awesome day!

Positive Comments: A dance club beat with a female vocalist singing about “Leaving your troubles at the door…”. I enjoyed the captivating electronic motif and the chord progression. This musical piece has a dark quality that is intriguing. I enjoyed the nice depth of the mixing/recording.

Constructive Comments: OK, so as usual, I like to listen to the song I am reviewing several times before writing so I give a better review 🙂 I just finished rocking out – jamming out with a funky groove here in my studio as I was listening to this on my THX-certified speakers. On the first play through, it was noticeable that either mic placement for the vocalist or the EQ for the vocalist’s enunciation could be better. On the second play through, I was then comfortable with the vocalist and I heard more. Still, I think an adjustment could be made to make this really really really good 🙂 The ending could have been more dramatic. And these are just the comments of a hairy feeted hobbit up in the woods. And now I am going to play your song again 🙂

Positive Comments: Nice intro. Nice arrangement and introduction of sounds especially in the intro. I enjoyed the piano track, very nice chords. Good song structure. Tasty bass work, the instrumental parts of this song are nice.

Constructive Comments: Guitar sounds a little out of tune in the intro. Delay effect on the vocal is a little distracting, it’s nice just the song is so empty instrumentally that it sticks out… I would have liked a little reverb, short decay 1.2 to 1.8 and no delay. Can hear some lip noise around 2:15, if possible clean up those little sounds, gives your package a more polished sound. Drum track was a little loose and didn’t lay a nice bed for the song to lay in. A more consistent 1/8 note hihat or shaker pattern would help solidify the groove. Song reminded me of an old song called “Time Passages” I think by Al Stewart.

Song: Great Commission Instrumental

Reviewer: Dave Haddad (CenterPeace)

Positive Comments: Classic Rock and country and Native American elements. Sounds like the composer is going for a soundtrack vibe…. Very subtle and sporadic melodic interjections brought character to the song.

Constructive Comments: Song seemed to develop slowly. Guitar falls in and out of the pocket around 30 seconds. Song would be more suited in “Unique Soundtrack” than Rock. Sounds like you are using loops in the guitar and it is too repetitive for my ear. Would have liked to hear more development of themes and variations and less of the mono tone guitar drone loop effect.
