Positive Comments: I received my Turbo Magic Carpet Ride 2000 last week and I’m really used to it now! Woohoo! … So yeah, I’m on this magic carpet ride, taking some selfies today. I’m off to fly through the infamous Clouds of Harpsi-Gogo Beads and then, through the charms of the blue-polka-dotted butterflies! … Oh, but why stop there? … Let’s go on, to the see the holographic lilies on the Isle of Shimmery Greens – and then a smooth flight through the hills of peppermint daisies 50 feet tall! Is that a blue proton cumulus going by?

Constructive Comments: This is cool. I like this. I actually played this 5 times in the review. My suggestion, a cut in the upper of the piano to make it smoother or more realistic. I was relaxed while listening. Have a great day.

Positive Comments: My friend Farley says this music reminded him of the game ‘Mario’ mixed with the game of ‘Whack-a-Mole’, mixed with a big slice of cheese pizza – slightly toasty around the edges, mixed with a warbley pinball machine and then some synthetic bubblegum machines thrown in for good measure. After listening myself, yep, pretty much. A mirror hall with clowns somewhere in the background could be added as well as some triple deep fried chocolate noodles bouncing around. And of course, we have to end it all with a lollipop sunset!

Constructive Comments: I took off marks on market potential outside of a game level this is unique and has a specific niche market. So, I would try to get this into games. I had fun with the review, thanks for lifting my spirits. Have a great day.

Positive Comments: Really strong Steely Dan vibe here. Hip arrangement with Soul elements and some Jazz. I like the stops, breaks and the riffs you’ve put in. The bass is doing so very cool behind the beat riffing on the breaks and it’s cool when you launch back into straight 4/4 walking.

Constructive Comments: The key sounds are kinda thin–if they were just a bit dirty/overdriven and fatter it would make a huge difference. Bigger drums and a fatter gutsier bass likewise. The vocals are too much “in the kitchen” sounding, and honestly I don’t think you’re working effectively with your voice. Some of the phrasing doesn’t really zing like it should. This is all *tweak* stuff offered as input on a very musical effort.

Positive Comments: I don’t know how you are doing but I’m doing great! I bought me a new magic carpet ride and we’re launching it here in Toulouse Hills. And … oh my … over blue fields of purple apple trees we go … to the melancholy flavor Valleys of Colada … to the cobalt guitar spires of Yalia! This is awesome … this smooth jazz instrumental will have you dreaming of your new Turbo Magic Carpet Ride 2000!

Constructive Comments: I’m not sure if New Age would be proper placement – seems to be more Smooth Jazz – even better! 🙂 … I liked this … I took off a few marks because I thought, after listening three times to this – that a beautiful string break would be nice somewhere in the mix and the strings that are in the mix now perhaps could use just a touch in volume. Other than that, thanks for this and have a great day.

Positive Comments: My name is Flooby. Yes, I am proud to say, that, yes, mmmm…, I am a red-colorful Gummy Bear. Me and my kin green Sleevy, Luly, Cheesey, yellow Glooney and John are just sitting here in this opened bag o’ flimsy plastic. The colors of my friends are officially melting all over your brand new pink blouse. Unfortunately for us our owner left us sitting in the hot sun here in the jalopy and … …. rrrrrr …. waaarrrhhhh …. we’re all just slowly melting away. Bye bye world! … … there goes Midgy – bye Midgy.

Constructive Comments: I think the flute or flutish sound I am hearing which is the overall lead – needs some work in the equalization. I would re-mix this to soften the upper harsh range by doing a slight cut in those frequencies. Since the flute is the main character here any mess-up on this and the song is lost on the listener. So, it has to be perfect. Even with minute details heard while playing. I hear a few strings in the back that could be more present and add warmth and depth to the piece. I put this in Electronic because to the person who has never heard this music before – it comes across as total electronic which is not a bad thing. In the New Age field people are very picky about certain sounds – much is used for relaxation and meditation and inspiration – this piece – even though is okay – doesn’t evoke emotion doesn’t welcome the listener to stay and if this were to be used for meditation it would not work. Softening the main instrument would help much and since – if you do a remix where you soften the instrument = while you’re in there, doing some panning and reverb and stereo enhancement would take this piece to a new level and THEN it could have New Age genre caliber. And always remember, these are just the thoughts of a hairy feeted hobbit up in the woods ok. Have a great day!

Positive Comments: It’s so lonely here on Mars. We just count the days. Earth is so small … you’d be surprised how many stars you can that you can’t on Earth. Jesse has the flu maybe he’s been sequestered. Capt. Sheridan says we may have only 2 months of food rations left. Mostly, we just do little things here on Mars not much energy to do much. Gonna sit and take a breather, this helmet is too much.

Constructive Comments: I just created a movie clip mental image in the first part of this review – just being creative. I can see this easily in film/tv. The strings were very nicely done.

Positive Comments: A gentleman with robust vocal capabilities a very expressive style – sings you a very heartfelt story that has been carefully crafted in music writing, instrument playing and recording. This should be put on your “Love” playlist. The recording, the voice style/timbre really captivated me. I listened to this many times in my review well… because I liked it.

Constructive Comments: I took off a mark for a few pitch problems. I do not have anything else to put in here because I like the song and I need to get a piece of pumpkin pie before the kids get it all.

Song: Earthriver – Solo Piano (Instrumental)

Reviewer: Floyd Kelly

Positive Comments: I was drawing today and played this song and I started drawing pictures of a lonely man – he is wondering around in a department store no money in his pockets. He’s not here for the clothes and fine items for sale he is here for the playing by the pianist. He just keeps walking through the department store looking around quietly while a pianist in the center of the store plays this piece of music and fills up the space with a pleasant shopping musical mood.

Constructive Comments: I mostly took off marks becasue, even though this is a natural sounding piano piece/recording also another version of this with a modification to the EQ to rid a little muddiness. A solo viola or cello playing along with this would have been really nice. Have a great day!

Positive Comments: I like to play this kind of music when I’m kneading the bread dough or breaking up peanut brittle or throwing my mother-in-law’s dishes at the wall when I’m mad at my husband. The sultry quality of the lady’s voice in this song was irresistible reminding me why I really need a Long Island martini. Oh dear, “These long goodbyes are getting …”.

Constructive Comments: Well, I didn’t have any martinis but I did have a big holiday dinner and I hope you and yours had a nice holiday. I would put more things in this little white box but what if I don’t want to?
