Positive Comments: The instrumentation is appropriate for a bossa nova, and the rhythm section sets up a nice foundation. The guitar also uses an appropriate tone for this genre.

Constructive Comments: This is Blue Bossa, and is copyrighted I would assume, so I would caution you not to try to make money from it. The guitar melody is not quite right – if it’s a phrasing decision, I don’t think it really works. The recording I assume is intended to be just a rough recording – aside from that, it sounds like a standard interpretation of Blue Bossa. If your idea is to do something that stands out, I would do something out of the ordinary, like alter the instrumentation or harmony in a creative way.

Positive Comments: Shades of Bob Dylan….sure you’ve that before. Solid effort as a guy and his guitar belting out a story song. Nice hook and solid guitar backing. Haunting lyrics, like an abstract painting, they scream out to be heard and re-heard and re-listened to. Not only a great song for your CD but with some work on the lyrics……a great song for TV and INdie films……

Constructive Comments: Nothing really bad to say….this is a very solid effort and neat song that I know will grow on the listener because some of the unique visuals in the lyrics. I was hoping for a tiny bit more variation in the chord progressions…..but they were clearly locked into a story-telling mode. Really nice effort. I would also suggest that you create a version with no vocals, as the guitar track has potential as a background loop for TV/Film….etc….

Positive Comments: I REALLY enjoyed this song! The soft and sweet vocals at the beginning deceived me into thinking there wouldn’t be too many dynamics throughout the piece. Little did I know, I was about to hear a BRILLIANT display of creativity, passion, and originality. I was so pleasantly surprised when the male vocals came in and the song erupts into something truly unique. The crescendo in this song is one of the best I have ever heard. The guitar rifts were on point, the drummer stayed on time perfectly, and the bass player kept the bottom end of the EQ relevant but not overpowering.

Constructive Comments: To be honest, there isn’t much at all that I would change about this song! The only thing I could really hear was that the female vocals could be EQ’d a little bit better. Her voice is so powerful and beautiful, but I feel like there were parts where she didn’t quite stand out in the mix enough. Both of those vocalist have incredible voices, and I want, no, I NEED to hear more of this band!
