Positive Comments: very cool retro instrumental vibe, yet neo blues lyrically timed tune, (this isn’t chicago blues, but that’s cool) wah wah guitar was cool, vocal well done. liked the lyrics, that are all over the place thematically at first, but the repetition of the “sun” metaphors sink in and it works cat! in this genre/style it is almost “beat” like, i dug this “sunny” tune, nice job. very different, which i dig!

Constructive Comments: nothing, this is very unique, well played, well mixed for live, real instruments so cool…all the best.

Positive Comments: interesting instrumentation kept me listening. lead vocal pleasant mostly on key. the ambient nature of the mix is pleasant, but maybe a bit “unfolk” like if that’s the genre you are after IMO. the backing vocal is pleasant as well. really like the piano where we could hear it.

Constructive Comments: would like a bit less reverb-y ambiance and more clear instrumentation and vocal, was hard to make out many of the words–it IS THERE, but the mix IMO can use a bit of work. good work overall, keep it up, all the best.

Positive Comments: very smooth instrumentation, well played! nice guitar and fiddle work, mando too? although this may be more country than folk IMO. like the mix, though lead vocal is rough, the harmony when it enters is quite nice. the lyrics are competent.

Constructive Comments: the ONLY thing holding this back may be the lead vocal, and no offense (mine aren’t much better) but another singer i believe would take this over the top. all the best.

Positive Comments: interesting backing electronic vibe, different take on “folk” for sure. like the lead guitar. the lyrics interesting and pretty “heady” and complicated for a folk-ish tune, but piece well mixed and produced.

Constructive Comments: some of the lyrics seemed forced to rhyme for some lines, very interesting and different theme. had a hard time finding the hook/title, which is always important so we can remember the song. but only listened once. nice overall work, carry on.

Positive Comments: like the “choral” sample in this mix. ambient indeed. liked the backing piano ALLOT–the verbal vocal was interesting, though i wish it was a bit clearer to hear on one listen. nice production for sure, mixed pretty darn well too. builds very nicely.

Constructive Comments: just the vocal/talking message a bit clearer please! so we can hear the message better. and watch your volume levels as it builds, had to turn it down a bit for these old ears…LOL…other than that i dig it. well done.

Positive Comments: really like the chords here, vocal fits the writing. the chorus is more bridge-like, but i hate predictable structure, so cool. simple clapping “percussion” works well with the tune as well as the occasional bass entry. i like this though the verse melody is fairly mono-chromatic, but still well done as a whole.

Constructive Comments: one thing, i had a hard time making out the lyrics, your vocal is loud enough and placed just right actually, just couldn’t for some reason hear many of the actual words–i’ll try to “fine” you after this and listen to your site, hope they are posted there. other than that, i liked this allot. all the best,
