Constructive Comments: Vocals needs a little mid-range and some lows to balance the highs. EQ the vocals and you got a winner. You can gain up the entire song before output after you adjust vocals needs little more volume over all. 5 stars…..

Positive Comments: Funked up country blues , similar in style to Miranda Lambert backed by the Allmans. Great voice, great lyrics.

Constructive Comments: A lot of the lyrical imagery is quite good, the hook ” shake my soul out “, to my ear, is a little obvious, but that can be overcome with better production. The song is good, the singer has chops, the backing is competent, recording is a little brittle and lacks depth. Your in a real commercial style, so it’s also to your credit that you kept it to about three minutes and have a solid no frills arrangement.

Positive Comments: Obviously a very talented composer and performer! Lots of variety in the song which kept it interesting throughout. Good job of establishing your theme and varying it throughout the piece. This is not always easy. Excellent technical skills as well.

Constructive Comments: Mostly my comments here have to do with the keyboard sound. It sounded like a digital instrument (as well as the backing tracks). I think this hindered the sensitivity of the playing some. I’m also very aware of the challenges with using arranging software and digital sounds. You are obviously very talented. Stay with it! Very well done!

Positive Comments: Great instrumentation, fine vocals and harmonies put together in a high quality production. The song has a great blend of country and Caribbean music which actually seems like it shouldn’t work but it does – really well. A very original feel to a foot tapping country song. This song has great potential.

Constructive Comments: Not criticisms, just my subjective thoughts:I thought the main vocal track could have been more to the front of the song as the lyrics are key to the Jamaican feel of the song. The chorus/hook has a really strong and catchy melody which works great with harmony but I have marked it down a little because it sounds similar to other songs but could stand out more if it contained more in terms of lyrics. Instead of repeats or ooohs, perhaps another line or two using some of the most obvious rhymes ready to choose/lose/blues/cruise etc…… But none of this detracts from the fact that it is a great song and I love it!! Good luck with it.
