Positive Comments: I really enjoyed this. Not quite sure if it’s because of the strong vocal performance…especially that bridge…my God…sounded like Heart or Pat Benatar…in fact this song might have been Gold back in the 80’s…too bad the industry has no taste…The “real” instruments really gave this a live performance feel…Musically it was interesting too…good job.

Constructive Comments: Like I said…it’s probably 30 years too late…but…I’m pretty sure that Heart is still gigging, so get that one to Marie…she’ll kill it even better than your singer…if that’s possible. I really like the drums with the exception of too much cymbal splashing…or too up in the mix…

Positive Comments: Well…it’s moody little number isn’t it…Sounds like someone died. If it were about losing a woman, don’t think it would be so morose. Still…with a little more explanation on what got lost and why you’re so lonely, it could be good…especially if it were death and you didn’t know how to go on…but…

Constructive Comments: Lyrics are very vague. I know there are some that will say that the vagueness lets the listener decide what it’s about…kinda like You Light Up My Life…but without a big big chorus…I think being more forthcoming would work better. Of course, if it’s personal and you’re not looking for a market….then I’ll just shut up…lol

Song: Hello Greyhound

Reviewer: Bobby Caputo

Positive Comments: A really great first line that really set the stage. Didn’t take long to be feeling sorry for this sad sack…the vocal was pretty wobbly, but that only made the song work better…he kinda sounded like a guy in the middle of a bad patch…and that last line about the bus driver being a woman set the stage again…for another song…lol

Constructive Comments: As much as I liked how the singer’s less than perfect voice fit the song, it was still a bit distracting at time…The drums in the beginning just didn’t sound right…going from slow to brisk should’ve been totally controlled my the drummer…seemed timid. Background vocal shaky…and way too far back in the mix…I liked it…really did.

Positive Comments: I’m probably a little bias, but I really liked this…ya see I got married late…real late. Love the line…don’t remember hearing it before,…seems so obvious, but that why it’s good. The vocalist has a little bit of Dolly in her…I really like that.

Constructive Comments: I thought this song went on a little too long….and there really wasn’t anything in the melody that changed along the way, which made the length a problem….3 minutes would have been just fine and the melody would’ve worked better. Good work though…good luck with it.

Positive Comments: Really a great listen…crisp recording, not overdone, backbeat solid. The vocalist is very good, but not like he’s a great singer…like he has great style…reminds me a lot of a guy here named Spud.I think I got the story first time around…some guy reaching out of his league and once there finds the flaws that come with perfection.

Constructive Comments: I guess I was a little disappointed when “The Devil’s In The Details” was the hook….just too trite for a hook…great line in the song, but the repetition kinda bothered me after awhile…Not that I’d change it…that’s just how it struck me. Good work.

Positive Comments: Very nice performance and a good solid recording. Romantic as hell…this could be a wedding song and God knows we need more to choose from. The singer seems totally engaged…believable…like it’s not some hired gun but the guy who wrote the song. All in all a good listen.

Constructive Comments: The only thing I could come up with is that the title and the lyrics don’t seem to follow…I feel like there should be some imagery that is tied to the “long ride”…maybe it’s cos’ my wife has horses, but there wasn’t anything about the “ride”…I guess it could be a car ride…but that wouldn’t be too romantic…now would it? Good work.

Constructive Comments: I like humor, but this may have been a little too hokey for my tastes. No doubt, some folks will love it as is, but the lyrics and arrangement are aggresive musically and they just aren’t my cup of tea. Sorry!

Song: Till St. Peter Lets Me In (Female)

Positive Comments: Well executed song with strong hook, solid vocals, great instrumentation and hooky arrangement.

Constructive Comments: I realize that this is a finished product, but the songwriter and producer in me feels the 6m-4-1-5 chord progression is the weakest part–totally overused and unoriginal as presented in much of today’s music. Perhaps altering the timing of the changes and using some pushes and diamonds or substitutions would alleviate that.

Constructive Comments: The music seems a little dated for the current country market, however it has a nice groove and would fit in a movie very well.
