Positive Comments: Short, simple, and awesome — all good words to describe this piece. You use a great mix of both spiccato and sustain with the strings, and accompanied by the percussion really gives this an epic medieval or fantasy feel that I love. I could hear this during an intro to some sort of visual media or during a short scene involving a fight or some sort of conflict. Excellent work on this one!

Constructive Comments: I would liked to have heard more emphasized brass, but other than that everything is great. Really enjoyed listening to this!

Positive Comments: Now this is an edgy track, and everything jives together so well. The instruments are top notch in quality, as is the composition itself in keeping the music interesting from beginning to end. I particularly enjoyed the saxophone feature — it really adds extra flavour to a track that is already a piece of excellence. I love music like this, so please let me know when you release more!

Constructive Comments: Wonderful music. I cannot think of anything to add.

Positive Comments: This music really stands out and keeps me enthralled from start to finish. Reminds me of a classic Spanish piece — bright and full of rich flavour. I love the amazing performances on the guitars as well, and I found the overall sound to be almost enchanting. This is truly a great piece and every part of it is well recorded and almost perfect. I love it.

Constructive Comments: I cannot think of anything to add, really. This is an excellent piece.

Song: Once Upon A Time x

Reviewer: Jon Babb

Positive Comments: Soft and subtle music like this really helps me to calm down after a stressful day. The music is simple, but in a good way that is not too complex and does what it sets out to do. I really do like the sounds of the instruments as they work together in harmony — the sounds themselves really add depth to the feeling of peace. Truly a calm and relaxing track, and I enjoyed listening to it very much.

Constructive Comments: Can’t think of anything to add really. A great piece to listen to!

Positive Comments: Great use of pizzicato and percussion makes this song stand out and really engages me into the music. This is truly a great listening experience and reminds me of some sort of heroic fanfare. You use a wide range of instruments, and as a result the music has a nice and full arrangement. The composition is well written as well — with enough going on to keep me interested. Excellent work on this piece!

Constructive Comments: If I could think of anything to add I would mention it, but there is really nothing I can think of. Great work on this!

Positive Comments: Song has a sweet yet powerful tone and a nice groove comes into play with a clever percussion arrangement. I can imagine this being a fine song track for movies or documentaries as it gives the listener a sense of anticipation for something good to come. The melody is very pleasing and overall, this instrumental is well written.

Constructive Comments: The fade seems to come about a bit quickly, but that is a minor matter. The synth. pad sounds very nice, but is just a bit high in the mix. Best of luck with your song placements.

Positive Comments: There are some really good fundamental bones in this. I like the big kick and fat ONE–great groove, and the rhythm keys are really fat–they remind me of Gino Vanelli’s work from the 70’s. I can hear this being turned into the newest Lady Gaga tune. I like this more each listen! Nice work!

Constructive Comments: Ohh that crash cymbal is in desperate need of an upgrade. The whistle lead patch is kinda cheesy but I think it sketches out a good idea for a vocal line. This must have vocals to make it stand alone but it *deserves* vocals too, if you know what I mean. The drums need some tightening–they’re just a hair off, and the groove needs to be airtight.

Positive Comments: The song is very well composed and each of the components compliment each other very well. The lead guitar solo was a nice surprise. I like how the energy moves up and down as it creates good dynamics throughout the song. Song structure seems to be well thought out to appeal to average listeners.

Constructive Comments: I don’t know that I would put this song into the modern rock category. It feels more like something that would have been popular in the 1980’s based on the different pads and tones that were chosen. Depending on when the song was written, the age of the creator and goal for the music that might have been the point. I think this song would fair much better with an older generation that resonates with 80’s rock more. I think it could be modernized with the changing out of some of the older sounding tones for newer more current ones (synths, less electronic sounding keys, slight more dominant tone on the guitar solo’s. If the song was more modern like the genre states, I probably would have rated the song higher.

Positive Comments: Very well put together song. It has a good sunny day kind of feel. I could easily hear this song in a commercial or motion picture scene. It’s just a good overall beat the has very clear and understandable lyrics. I would put this in more of a pop category, but it isn’t bad to be in the rock genre either. It’s not common to hear the jamaican drums in songs too often. Makes this song unique.

Constructive Comments: I think the composition is good, song arrangement is not reinventing the wheel but catering to standards in the music industry. It does keep one consistent dynamic through the whole song which actually works quite nice with it. Other songs that is a drag but the energy of this song makes for a decent feel all the way through.

Song: In The Light of Day / Rock Alternative

Reviewer: He-Nis-Ra

Positive Comments: It does remind me of something you’d hear in passing during a RPG video game. Potentially while on a quest to find objects or something to that sort. I didn’t relate anything in the song in particular to other things I’ve heard before

Constructive Comments: I personally am not a fan of the keyboard tone that was used or the chorus affect on the main musical notes. The has a soft and calming type of feel, I’m not sure I would classify it in the Rock Genre. It is rather easy to tell that this was all done electronically, and the sort of consistent tone leaves me wishing there were more dynamics in the song. I think there could be some additional ways to improve upon the song which will depend on the direction you are hoping to take it.
