Positive Comments: OH clever clever. This is like an operetta or zarzuela tune for a salon or theater performance. Fantastic piano and the 6/8 works so well with the hook. This is like a Tom Lehrer tune with clever, acerbic commentary. Wonderful vocals and harmony arrangement!!

Constructive Comments: it’s perfect !

Positive Comments: This is really tight and funky. I’m inclined to call it Funk but there’s also a Prog Rock element to it to. It kinda sounds like Level 42 meets Marillion. I like the descending bassline. There’s some very good songcraft and musicianship here!!

Constructive Comments: I think the kick is too loud and the beater is really pop/click heavy. It’s kinda boring a hole in my head it’s so strong. I think backing the kick down quite a bit and getting a duller/heavy/smooth kick sound would really tighten the groove. Bring the vocals up and maybe add a bit of close delay on them (hard to tell). The vocals should really be the focus. I’m not sure about “your life’s not bad” as a hook. What about reworking that to a positive phrase eg “it’s better than you think” etc. I think it needs some nice jangly Nile Rogers guitar chords. I’d really like to hear the next version.

Positive Comments: Beautiful! Love the piano parts and tone and the vocal is wonderful. The vocal is so plaintive and compelling. And when the strings come in BANG. “rain turn to teardrops” is a fantastic line. Any fans of Sarah McClaughlin and Regina Spektor will love this. Tremendously good work!!!

Constructive Comments: What are you doing with the vocals? There are places where it gets a bit reedy and processed sounding, perhaps even Autotune? You really want this to be pure and clear.

Positive Comments: awesome song. in my humble opinion, it has a pink floyd meets beck sound. the arrangement is well put together with the synth sounds married to the other instruments. the singer has a real nice voice for the genre and has clearly found his niche. popped out of the (really crappy!!!) computer speakers here at work nicely telling me it has been recorded and mixed well. well done!

Constructive Comments: although the hook is obvious, it is a little confusing and weird? i do like it, not trying to be negative. i am only submitting a constructive COMPLIMENT as i like confusing and weird. not a top40 hit but something to get a little herbal to.

Constructive Comments: Waaaaaaaaay long without significant development. Some of the bass riffing is falling out of rhythmic integrity. Have a listen to some James Blood Ulmer and I think you’ll dig the outside vibe and get some takeaways. Especially when he’s with Ronald Shannon Jackson.

Dreambody by Bob Higgs

Positive Comments: I’m really liking this right from the get-go. It’s a catchy guitar part that reminds me of a Jeff Buckley ballad (and that’s as good as it gets). Then vocals come in and it sounds a lot like Lloyd Cole and maybe even Dire Straights/Knopfler. This has a simultaneously tragic and triumphant mood if that makes sense. The performances, vocals, melody, lyrics, and arrangement are really great. It’s really classic but has a fresh contemporary sound too. Really really class work!

Constructive Comments: There’s a good bit of high end (>12K) noise from cymbals, and I think the cymbals are too high in the mix generally. The guitar solo maybe a hair too loud and heavy in the bass?

Positive Comments: Nice sounds on the guitars, nice riff/hook, the ghost Eric Clapton….or British Invasion Blues. It takes me back to my teen years, oh, no….I’m showing my age now!! Haa!! Anyway, good sounds, excellent job!! Want to hear more!!

Constructive Comments: This composition is pretty tight, don’t have anything bad to say about this tune!! I would like to hear a song with lyrics, but that’s just me…….Instrumentally………HOT, HOT, HOT!!!Super Job!!!

Positive Comments: Not much can be said here. Very nice vide and liking the Sax. Sound like a litle interlude. Very nice

Constructive Comments: Recording is a little lite. Production can be ‘beefed up’ a bit. There is no real hook, sounds like a sax player jaming over a track: perhaps a solid melody would better sell the idea. All the best with it,

Constructive Comments: Hear what you’re after here. Performance can be tighter and more attention paid to the guitar sound muddy in places. Not really liking that triplet on the snear nuch. Perhaps on the outro you could move to full drum kit to make the sound bigger and drive the track home.

Constructive Comments: Can go for a bigger production to complement your idea to give it that big cinema feel.
