Positive Comments: -I like the groove very much. It has a bit of a Steely Dan vibe. -I like the singer in terms of her vocal quality – she’s nice to listen to!-the arrangement is fine, and the players sound very good!-a couple of tweeks noted below and the song would rate much higher IMHO

Constructive Comments: I’m a bit challenged to give the full thoughts on this song that your efforts deserve.-the biggest challenge I had was understanding the lyrics. I wonder if you could post them? I never got the words to the hook and couldn’t follow the whole story…I got the ‘fishing for a guy’ idea…-of course, the listener shouldn’t have to read the lyrics to follow along – but the vocals are mixed pretty far back and maybe the EQ on them could use some more high end for clarity? Easy fix!-it would be great if you could tweek the melody to give more contrast between the song sections. It sits melodically in pretty much the same range throughout.-and to piggy back on the melody thought, your chorus isn’t set off very much from the verse. When I got to the 2nd verse, I felt like I hadn’t really heard a chorus yet? I thought what I’d heard was a pre-chorus and was waiting for the next gear, and for the song to take off.-As I noted above, I really like the vibe of the song, and think I will like the story when I can understand the lyrics. If you do any tweaks on the song based on all the feedback you get from your listeners and peers, I’d LOVE to hear it again! Oh, and i don’t think it’s a ‘Country’ song. It feels more Pop and Singer/Songwriter to me.
