Song: Gone To The City
Reviewer: Floyd Kelly
Positive Comments: This is a country-style song reminding me of days gone by living in Texas. This seems to be a traditional song of men and women in yearning for love – in this case about a man wishing his woman a welcome home from the city for a chicken fry, some cowboy hats and good old-fashioned fun things.
Constructive Comments: I was disappointed when this song first played, as I chose “Classical – Classical” think I was going to hear a classical piece of music, and instead got a country song. I deducted marks because of that. Production-wise, the volume seems to be lower than normal and the vocalist seems to be too far back in the mix. This seems to a traditional-sounding country-style song. I gave this mostly neutral marks because like I said, I was hoping for a classical piece of music. There is a good vibe in the vocalist. I played this twice and noticed a few parts of the lyrics are hard to understand (enunciation) and volume and there are a few pitch problems. Nice violinist playing!
