Positive Comments: It is effective as a somber, melancholy piece. I wouldn’t classify it as pop, though. More electronic or new age, maybe? It starts out strong…grabs you from the beginning.
Constructive Comments: The instrumentation seemed a bit muddy to my ear. Maybe reduce the reverb a bit? I’d also try to change underlying beat and chord changes a bit more, and vary the hardness of the notes (they seem to have the same strength behind them, and it might be very effective to alter velocities a bit. Also maybe try starting out with just strings and gradually building other instrumentation?
