Broadjam Artist: Kathyjo Varco
Song: Talk Talk Talk
Reviewer: paul sandberg
Positive Comments: the lyrics are strong and I liked the intro groove with its counter beat on piano.
Constructive Comments: the bottom end of this is too dominant – the bass and kick tone are nice, but they control the mix. Vocals need to be brought up front more as it was often difficult to hear the lyrics. There’s too much going on in the chorus and it doesn’t stand out and make you pay attention (it is the most important part of the song after all!). I felt that overall there was a lack of focus with the song. Tighten that up and give some thought to what is important in the chorus and you have something nice to work with.
