Broadjam Artist: Fields of Light – John Gerard
Song: Swing the Favor
Reviewer: Dave Haddad (CenterPeace)
Positive Comments: Nice full arrangement, love the big band swing. Easy tempo very smooth. band intonation is excellent. Great performances all around. Has a great WWII dance band era feel to it. Would fit in exceptionally well in an period piece movie. The drummer has beautiful brush work… Good blend with the band (melodic).
Constructive Comments: The mix is out of balance, almost feels like the drums were recorded in a different room then the band… different time too. Several audible edits on the drums. Drums are too loud, they buried everything… they should be blended in better and supplemental to the orchestration.
