Song: 41. Morning Cup (vocals)
Reviewer: Dave Haddad (CenterPeace)
Positive Comments: Nice tight sound from the beginning, good thought process to have the melodic theme intro. Love the ‘band sound’. Sexy, controlled and confident vocals. Very sweet vocal tone. Guitar solo (ala George Benson tone) was a nice surprise. Love the live band tracks, we don’t hear enough live recordings anymore… thank you!! Good recording and mix. Very mellow groove.
Constructive Comments: Some obvious ‘auto-tune’ glitches on the vocal track (:27). The lyrics were a little cheesy to me (you’re my morning cup…). Nice production over all, loved hearing the live tracks! The lyrics were the down side of the song for me. The arrangement for me was also a little too ‘produced’ or slick, nobody taking any chances, nothing new or exciting happening.
