Song: Reflections in a Summer Night
Reviewer: John Walradt
Positive Comments: This sounds like an experiment on a theme, instrumentally and in concept. The disjointed notes are unsettling, but I regard that as a successful venture, as that comes across to me as the intention. It gets the mood across. The studio work is well done.
Constructive Comments: If this comes across as biased, uninformed, and unnecessarily critical, you are absolutely right! I probably don’t know what I’m talking about in this section. The piece is not easy to follow as a New Age meditation piece to me would be. It’s unsettling: the keyboards are sometimes not too clear, as if lacking in confidence, or too choppy, the strings dart at you and sting. I’m used to, Ray Lynch, David Lanz, Spencer Brewer, Liz Story: soft, flowing, peaceful in the New Age genre. The good news: to really be onto something, you gotta do what you’re doing despite what people like me say and go with what you really believe and want.
