Positive Comments: Here’s a dark western cowboy ballad. Chain of sin. Great title and subject matter of some renegade crooks headed on a downward spiral and taking some sweet thing along with them. It may be a depressing topic, but it’s a story well told and very original. Excellent word pictures.
Constructive Comments: The lead vocal was understated. If I were a crook singing this song I’d sing it loud and clear with an evil-sounding cowboy twang. This guy sounded like he was in the back room of the saloon with a bandana tied around his mouth. It’s a great story. Work on clarity and emotion to make the listener more scared. I think more country sounding music would suit this song better.
