Constructive Comments: I would classify this song as a country song rather than a bluegrass song. Primarily because bluegrass instruments were not used. The melody is too familiar. I had the melody memorized after hearing it the first time around. You might think, well what’s wrong with that? In today’s country the melody needs to be one of surprises. Make sure what you are singing matches the lyric sheet. Work on painting a picture with your lyrics instead of telling. This is something I also struggle with. Show more and tell less. I hope this helps. It’s just my opinion. I am also a work in progress.
