Positive Comments: Wow, NOT a ‘she-done-me-wrong’ song! That’s new! I like the singer’s voice and the overall feel of the song. I think the instrumentation is mostly right, and I like the slide guitar that comes in later on. A fun song.
Constructive Comments: First, I think the song would benefit from using real drums mixed more up front but not obscuring the voice. I also think a live recording of the band either in the studio or from a gig would add to the exhuberance of the lyric. I want to feel it, ‘my baby LOVES me!’ I couldn’t always understand the lyrics, and there wasn’t a lyric sheet given. And I really want to hear the lyrics – are they clever and fun, too?
