Positive Comments: Really nice production. Love the sounds of the voice, guitar, and especially, the acoustic bass – good stuff! With a little more production, maybe another guitar or piano, strings, percussion, maybe this song could fit in a pop playlist as well. Very pretty song.
Constructive Comments: I like the lyrics, but think that the meaning doesn’t come through clearly enough. I admire the writer’s poetic approach, some good images, but when I ask myself what is this song about, it’s not clear to me. I like what I think is the title, No Escape Today, and the singer includes himself in the “trap” (?) of having to live a human life and endure the ups and downs thereof, but, right now, there isn’t a story here to tell – just observations. I need a story to relate to emotionally.
