Song: Winds Of Change – Acoustic Version

Positive Comments: This reminds me of Bruce Springsteen. Specifically, “Nebraska”. This would fit nicely into a collection of ghostly songs. Such songs are often skeletons of larger productions. However, here, the structure fits well with the message of the piece. The production is good. The recording quality is great. We can hear the vocals and associated lyric nicely. “Every night I feel the winds blow…. like an old man sittin’ on a front porch knowin’ he just ran out of time.”

Constructive Comments: The vocal is a bit hot in the mix. I like hearing the lyrics, but a -1 db reduction would really help. I would have attempted to sing the composition with a little less gravel in the voice. That might make it sound more original. The arrangement is well done. I think the story could benefit from some further description of the landscape in which it takes place. Is this New Jersey? Is this Oklahoma? A description of the landscape, especially at the opening, lends authenticity to the work.
