Positive Comments: I like the sharp clear instrumentation, which is cut through by the strong, characterful vocal. Lovely guitar parts. Very nicely recorded and mixed. The song has a very strong lyric that delivers a powerful message.
Constructive Comments: I’ve marked down the hook because I think the verses are more hooky than the chorus. I would have liked the chorus to have been lifted by the vocal going higher, or maybe the addition of backing vocals just to differentiate the chorus. I’m thing about Neil Young when the backing vocals lifted the chorus on songs like ‘Southern Man’ and ‘Heart of Gold’. That said I do like the song.
