Positive Comments: There certainly is an authenticity to the production. Catchy melody in the chorus. You clearly have talent as a songwriter. Continue to study the craft.
Constructive Comments: Consider a much shorter intro. A publisher will never even get to the first verse with the long intro you have now. And probably need to get to the chorus quite a bit faster. I would place it right after the first verse line “and waiting for his shot.” Not sure the section after that about “living in the waiting room” adds to the song. Might think about removing that section. The story bounces around a bit much. First the main character is trying to get into music, then a garage business, then the story jumps to you. And I’m not sure they support your chorus all that well. As I’m sure you’ve heard before, you need to make it very clear for the listener.
