Positive Comments: As a children’s song, you have an advantage because it doesn’t sound like all the Disney-ish stuff we often expect of this genre. I think a note about the educational value of identifying minerals would help sell this.
Constructive Comments: You may get a lot of passes simply because so many want silly music. But that doesn’t mean you should change anything. Just make your reason for pitching it very clear in the notes. In fact, you could suggest a whole discussion/lesson plan on what minerals are and why people go looking for them. If you have an additional reason t pitch this song, include that suggestion as well.
