Positive Comments: This piece reminds me of Jan Hammer or maybe some of the Styx was doing back then. Pretty cool. It is simple but effective for a movie soundtrack from the eighties I would say. The breakdown in the middle of the piece was a nice surprise and it was done very well. I love stuff like this and I wish there was a lot more of it. I liked the vocoder alot!
Constructive Comments: I was expecting a little more from the writer in terms of some sort of a lead voice. If the song is going to be instrumental then I would expect some type of lead part, and since there isn’t a real voice I would personally use something with a stronger wave form with a good attack like a guitar. Also thought it was a little bit stiff sounding in the beginning. Just preference but maybe a small sound effect to fill the space would carry it thru better.
