Broadjam Artist: Chet Nichols
Song: I’ll Be The River (Instru)
Reviewer: Barry Douglas
Positive Comments: Although not now remembered as a musician and possibly not recording recently, Leo Sayer is a singer songwriter from the 1970s. This song was reminiscent of a famous song of his with a beautiful melody . The title of his song “when I need you ” seemed to be echoing in this melody and arrangement with piano and strings .
Constructive Comments: Possibly record a guitar solo or arrange a twelve string acoustic part for the middle of the song . It might balance and heighten the dramatic nature of this bittersweet melody and give the piano a rest and then come back in for the second half .
