Positive Comments: I loved this singer’s accent! A really unusual and captivating voice with good range.I liked the sparseness of the arrangement & I thought she did justice to what could have been a very difficult song to cover as it’s so ubiquitous. Overall I thought it was a lovely and sensuous take on the song.
Constructive Comments: Be careful with ‘ma is good looking’ – so it’s not ‘mashy’If you wanted to use this commercially I’d definitely think about re-recording with ‘real’ strings. Maybe a really good double bass player. The keyboard strings work but there’s something so classy about authentic instrumentation keep it this pared down though because the song speaks for itself and the voice is powerful and original.
