Broadjam Artist: Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods
Song: Sweeter Than An Alibi / R&B
Reviewer: Nigel Barrett
Positive Comments: The early part of the song reminded me of some stuff by Shanice. Some unexpected very nice notes at the end of certain lines that really stood out.
Constructive Comments: The vocal sound for me dictates the feel of the song – somehow the music is lacking – maybe I can just hear more of a drive behind the tune. The rimshot could be replaced with a snare. Alternatively I could hear it go the other way where even less is more – thinking of Scritti Politti’s Overnight for example.
