Positive Comments: This reminds me of Blackfoot, Y & T, Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, Dokken, April Wine, Schencker, etc from late 70’s early 80’s, with Captain Beefheart guesting on vocals. There’s a boogie beat underneath all the guitar work, so all the Jersey chicks with hair puffed five inches above their heads could be out dancing in their sprayed-on jeans. The guitars are classic hard rock–you can’t play these licks without sticking your tongue out at all the fourteen year boys that wanna be you up there. It’s really a perfectly executed tune in the style.

Constructive Comments: IMO you’re taking it a bit too far with the vocal overdrive. I’d argue for keeping the gravel but bring it back to where it’s gritty not totally gob-spitting, raving pschizophrenic. Then you could hear the lyrics better. As in the other review I’d like the guitars better if you dialed back a bit and took the harmonic rasp out of the tone and made it overdriven, tubes honkin tasty breakup. This has more impact–the paradoxical thing about distortion is that as it gets raspier it has less gut impact.
