Broadjam Artist: John Hazlett
Song: No Longer Home
Reviewer: Floyd Kelly
Positive Comments: There is a candy store around the block and I love going in there. The people at the store make some really yummy things. I would love this slow electronic music playing in my headphones as I am perusing the chocolates, the cremes, the fiddle faddles – they’re all so yum.
Constructive Comments: In my opinion only, I think much work is needed on this music piece to make it more marketable. Many of the instruments in the recording could use some work (EQ/Mixing) to bring more depth and fullness, some instruments stick out more than others. The cadence and chord progression doesn’t really lead the listener to any point. The dryness of the strings could be improved with some careful reverb and stereo enhancement during the mixing. And, please remember, until now, we have never heard this piece of music and we know nothing about the artist or how it was created. Have a happy new year!
