Song: When The Floor Comes Alive (Vocal Stomper Mix) ft Leanne P
Reviewer: Floyd Kelly
Positive Comments: A dance club beat with a female vocalist singing about “Leaving your troubles at the door…”. I enjoyed the captivating electronic motif and the chord progression. This musical piece has a dark quality that is intriguing. I enjoyed the nice depth of the mixing/recording.
Constructive Comments: OK, so as usual, I like to listen to the song I am reviewing several times before writing so I give a better review 🙂 I just finished rocking out – jamming out with a funky groove here in my studio as I was listening to this on my THX-certified speakers. On the first play through, it was noticeable that either mic placement for the vocalist or the EQ for the vocalist’s enunciation could be better. On the second play through, I was then comfortable with the vocalist and I heard more. Still, I think an adjustment could be made to make this really really really good 🙂 The ending could have been more dramatic. And these are just the comments of a hairy feeted hobbit up in the woods. And now I am going to play your song again 🙂
