Song: Just Can’t Stop (Good Old Fashioned Funky House Club Mix), ft Leanne P
Reviewer: Floyd Kelly
Positive Comments: Groove, groove, groovy beans Malone! Groove to a 70’s style dance composition that will, well, hmmm, make you get groovy baby! Groooovy! Get down. Let it out. Show us what you got. Just like the vocalist says, “Show me what you got…”. When listening to this I am reminded of the style we all know from the incredible Donna Summer.
Constructive Comments: I like this, the beginning percussion seemed muddy but disappears in the mix altogether and is forgotten. In my opinion only, some dramatic strings in the background would have given this a whole new dynamic and the blippity blop sound is almost there, with some reverb and moved to the back with some stereo enhancement would add a contemporary feel to this. I think the vocal line needs a rest once or twice in the mix to keep the listener curious more.
