Positive Comments: This is a great song for the church, particularly during the Resurrection Sunday season, when we focus on Christ’s death and resurrection. I don’t know anyone else who has written a song quite like this one, talking about Mary and John and that episode in the passion of Christ. The song tells the story well and the images came to life as I listened. Love the part about the hammer hitting…how real can it get? Triumphant conclusion with the resurrection of Christ…way to go!
Constructive Comments: The nice energetic intro was great…for another song. This song is too sad for such a upbeat intro, in my opinion. The vocals were muddy and pronunciation of the word cross was iffy. Work with a vocal coach or find someone to demo your songs. You are a talented writer, Randal!
