Song: About Cats
Reviewer: Kate Carpenter
Positive Comments: This is a poem set to music. The poetry is creative and unique. A very complex piano arrangement and the vocals are operatic. The vocalist is energetic and did the best she could with the way the piece was written. Her meow and sneeze were cute…actually my favorite part of the performance.
Constructive Comments: I think that modern day kids would not be attracted to the opera-sounding presentation of this piece. Unless there’s a genre for kid’s opera. This song needs a memorable hook or refrain. All good poems do not necessarily make good songs.
