Peter Boynton

Positive Comments: -Good bones here for your song. Can’t get too specific, as you’re not ready for that yet. The lower marks just mean it’s not ready for a full review yet – can’t tell what you have yet and where it’s going.-Your hook is catchy – it will be good to hear a vocal and lyrics on it. Nice.-You have a nice vibe and feel to the groove.

Constructive Comments: -Not sure this is a Country song. Might be more Pop, depending on how you develop it.-Be sure to find contrast between your verse melody and your chorus melody to set off and heighten the chorus.-I get the idea of using simple production values as you build the song – maybe try to find more organic country patches to use (acoustic guitar wuld be nice). -Shorten your arrangement to a 4-ms. intro to get to the lyric quickly, use a Vs1 – Ch1 – Vs2 – Ch2 with an outro structure, and then see what listeners think.-I’d get a bluprint for your lyric story going before anything else. What do you want to say? What’s the big idea? That’s your hook and title.-I enjoyed thinking about this.-Have fun!
