Michael Rains

Positive Comments: The melody is a nice catchy tune that sticks in your mind, and the guitars back it up well. The voice reminded me of Donovan. The lyrics reminded me of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love”, especially where you say you would walk over hot coals and that you’d have the strength God gave you. I really like your use of double-rhyme words like disguises and devices.

Constructive Comments: I liked the opening idea of saving the world in order to get the girl. I was confused by saying that “heroes come in all disguises…but not me”, because it seems like you’re a hero if you’re going to save the world. If you’re not a hero, maybe you could say what you are. Could you explain how “mirrors on the wall deceive me” fits here because s superhero should have no trouble with understanding what a mirror is. Maybe that’s what you mean when you say you’re not a hero? Finally, the online lyrics should be updated to reflect the lyrics that are sung. Maybe if you said heroes come in all disguises and said how you fit that description.
