John Walradt

Positive Comments: Ambient electronica definitely shines as one of your things! It’s a soothing piece with the right touch of percussion, droning keyboards, and tapping notes. Very good melody and soft, soothing but not too soft vocals work beautifully. Lyrically different enough to make it more interesting and ambient than New Age. The combination makes for a good meditative piece yet keeping its pop sensibility, so that it doesn’t drift into a drowsy state. This would be a great closing piece for an album.

Constructive Comments: I always put my suggestions or bias in this box as I especially believe that bias and personal taste don’t belong in the rating system. One of my biased opinions is that of cliche sounding New Agey lyrics. Some examples I’ve heard on other artist recordings: “Grateful just to be and nothing more,” “Just relax and breathe.” You stayed away from such phrases in this song and that’s refreshing. The words sound much more of yourself which makes the song all that more personal and sets it apart from the cluster of songs that all sound the same. In other words, unique. I personally like hearing your songs in that kind of direction.
