This songwriter is an excellent storyteller!  What a poignant, touching portrayal of his mother&#8217;s life and passing.  The Bridge of Roses is the setting. I love the way he brought in dad&#8217;s proposal, his baptism, dad&#8217;s funeral.  The whole story fits together like closely-placed wooden boards on a well-crafted bridge. And the writer made me feel like I was standing there. Five stars!  This is one of the best, most touching ballads I&#8217;ve ever heard on Broadjam.  Favorite rhyme:  bloom, perfume.  <\/p>\n<p><b>Constructive Comments: <\/b>There are a couple of pitchy issues, but it almost adds to the poignancy and makes you sound human and emotional.
