Stylistically they make sense but the part just isn&#8217;t doing much. Why not get rid of the synth and just use the sax, the tone is kind of thin, but not awful.  Oh, and the singer is great, it&#8217;s all about her voice and delivery, so without anything other than a trio, you would be fine &#8230; IMO.
