Good Advice

Positive Comments: I did like the lyrics and the vocals and the basic melody that accompanied the song. Had a good overall feel and vibe to it.

Constructive Comments: The opening maybe 2 or 3 seconds when I first hit play was very awkward, came in very abruptly.I think there was a bass in the song, but it was so low in the mix and was audible so few times that it was like it was not even there at all, and had it been more pronounced it would have really added to the song. The basic melody was solid, but the overall musical composition was a little “thin” and lacked the substance to properly compliment the lyrics and vocals. For the vast majority of the song all I could hear was a lead guitar and drums, and it just wasn’t enough to create a real impactful dynamic for me. In fact because it sounded as if they were the only two instruments, that when you came in and overdubbed a second lead guitar in for a solo it felt kind of awkward.I did not have a problem with the non word singing that came at the end of the song, but I felt it was misplaced at the end. Doing that at the end of the song just felt like a gimmick to stretch out a song you had run out of lyrics for, instead of making a significant impact to the song itself. At the end of the day, there was actually a lot I liked about the song, I just wish a little more thought had gone into how you arranged it to make it better then it was even though it was pretty good.
